Prayers for healing for their son. It is so hard on parents when a child is sick.

We went home from the ER and he didn't get admitted but he had a fever induced seizure. His fever never got above 101.5 but it rose quickly which caused the seizure. His white blood cell count was very elevated but better yesterday at the drs office. He has always been my sickly child and I have learned to expect the unexpected with him. He is only 20 months old and been through a lot. He had meningitis at 14 days old. He has very low immune levels so that's our current issue.

he has an awful viral rash on his face, tongue and mouth that is very painful but definitely back to his old self. We are waiting for our Immunology appt at Texas children's in 10 days! Thank you for asking.

I am so sorry to hear that your son is so sick. Wanted to let you know that we thinking of you and sending good thoughts to your family.

My son had a bad case of hand-food-mouth disease a couple of weeks ago with fever and painful sores in his mouth. I hope your son is feeling better very soon.

Thank you so much. We really appreciate all the kind thoughts. His rash is actually a herpes virus but he has had them before starting at 6 months. That was the whole reason we went to tx children's Immunology in December because it is very rate for a kid that young to have issues with it. His biggest problem is due to his immune system he can't ever clear them on his own. He requires medicine to get rid of it. The Dr admitted yesterday that based on his symptoms on Monday it is very likely he did have another case of viral meningitis. But the treatment wouldn't have been any different since he bounced back so quickly.

Hand foot and mouth is awful but typically once they get it, they don't get it again.
