crepe myrtles

Mine just started blooming and they already have moldy leaves. Last year we sprayed them and it didn't help much.

Anyone know the fail proof treatment for this

It is the grayish powdery stuff. We had it last year.

Powdery mildew. First plan of attack seems to be cutting off and disposing of the parts of the plant that have it. My crepes are going to look awful, dang it.

We had someone on this forum that was an expert on plants and trees. I can't remember her screenname. Maybe we could ask her, if anyone else can remember who she was. She seemed very knowledgeable about all plants and trees. I think she was a master gardener or arborist.

I found the fix and I will get the spray and get started after I prune.

Ours are just about ready to bloom. What are you going to spray them with, Silly?

Spectracide Immunox or Spectracide Immunex. Supposedly either will take care of it. They have buds all over and some tips blooming, but they will have nothing after I prune the bad tips off.
