Went up to Dallas and brought my granddaughters here to take a 4 night cruise to Cozumel. You might want to try it as it is really a good time for all. The seas were calm, thank goodness, as I get really motion sick. I hardly felt the ship. We had a balcony room. It is great to go, but, wonderful to be home.

I went on my first cruise in May and I am now addicted. I can't wait to go again.

I think my next cruise will be an adult one. This was wonderful to have a first time cruise experience with my granddaughters, but, so much was geared towards the kids that we didn't see any of the evening shows. Plus, we were pooped after spending all day at the pool. My kiddos didn't want to do the activities they offered on the ship.

I'm taking my first cruise in less than a month, it is Carnival but we're not cruising out of Galveston, I'd like to take advantage of having a port so close to home at some point. Glad to hear it was a lot of fun!

On the 4 night one out of Galveston, on Carnival, don't expect fantastic food. It is banquet quality. Their buffets were fairly good. I am glad I am not a drinker as drinks are very expensive. We lucked out with fantastic weather. It only rained in Cosumel, but, the rest of the trip was glorious. If you want to go out to the clubs in the evenings, they have activites for kids until 3 am. We couldn't stay awake that long, but, there were a lot of people in the bars and dance clubs. They had a family friendly comedy act in the evening that was good. All in all, going with kiddos on this trip was just long enough.

We left out of Florida and went to the Eastern Caribbean. I now want to go to the Southern Caribbean. Hubby wants to go on an Alaskan cruise. Decisions, decisions.

The only cruise I would ever want to go on is an Alaskan cruise. I think that would be so neat to do. Sometime in the future.......

Alaskan cruises are very popular. To enjoy the ship, I would want to go in the summer.

Sounds like fun! We have taken 2 seven day cruises out of Galveston and the Conquest and we absolutely loved it. That was 5 years ago though and not sure I would take my little kids on one but maybe when they are older.

Most people didn't have really young kids. Probably 7 or 8 was the youngest, unless they had them in some program.
