We decided to try Bucca di Beppo last night as we needed to get some takeout. Huge mistake. Food was decent, but the portions were out of control tiny. The "family" sized portions were no such thing. A small chicken parm, which is almost $20, consisted of TWO pieces of chicken. The spaghetti with meat sauce, which was about $15, was about 1/2 to 2/3 of a pound of pasta and some ground beef.
You could call and let them know that you are disappointed. The more they know how the consumer feels, the more they are able to do something about it. We have been there numerous times and we were never disappointed.

There is much better Italian (even chain Italian) food around. I remember being unimpressed by their "family" size portions a couple of years ago.
Someone told me that Via Emelia at Kuykendahl / TWP is pretty good. Any reviews?
For good Italian food, service and value for the money Carrabbas is my choice. The place is a little noisey at times but the Proprietor Nick Huxel is on top of the business.

I haven't gotten to try it yet. They recently added on to their dining room and are now open Sundays. I guess that means it is doing well. There was a review of it on that Woodlands restaurant website (can't remember the address)--I think it got an okay review. Has anyone eaten there?
Can't stand Carabba's. We have always had nice size family portions when we go to Buca. We take 4 and order small's and it's plenty of food. Usually we go with a $10 coupon in hand.

Deb, we ordered:
Small chicken Parm
Small spaghetti with meat sauce
Small Bucatini ala Enzo
Caprese salad.
My wife and I are not huge eaters. Yet, the only thing that we, my 5 year old and 2 year old had left over were less than 1/2 of the spaghetti, 1/2 of one chicken breast (it came with 2) and that was it.
For $71 with tax.
We were expecting a ton of leftovers. I'd say it'd feed one person for one meal.
