Not a big fan - I don't like the open ended nature of this. I am not a financial wizard but I have to think this will end up being an exercise in printing money and funneling it straight into the pockets of those who created this mess in the first place (Wall St).

And, UKMatt, the Wall Street people are doing quite well right now. I am ambivalent about this, as well.

Flooding the economy with more money will at some point bring inflation back, big time.

Why do you say that wall street created this mess? There is so much blame to go around, that to say that "wall street" created the whole mess just sounds like that class warfare garbage coming out of Washington.

The housing market played a big part. The government lenders, Fani and Fredi were backing up most of those phantom home loans.

How will the money be "funneled" to wall street? Keeping interest rates low should benefit the whole economy but nothing has helped so far.

I'm no financial wizard either, but the total policy confusion coming out of Washington has the business community scared.

We need leadership, not the blame and finger pointing we have now. More rules and regulations only slow down the recovery. We need to enforce the laws already on the books.

There are VERY complex problems facing us and we have a government that is not functioning. With leadership will come solutions. I don't blame Romney for not coming out with some laundry list of what he will do to fix the mess.

He has a track record of solving complex problems. Reagan had the sense to make deals to get the country moving forward. It's all about compromise, no one gets everything their way. 50% of something is better than 0% of nothing.

Obama hasn't even tried to "make friends" with the people who actually can help put the country back on track. His my way or the highway attitude has worn thin with both the right and the left. Blame and class warfare are hurting the country and serve no purpose other than making a bad situation worse.

ANY executive in any company, with his performance record, would have been booted out the door long time ago...

The Federal Reserve is simply giving the people what they want. Be it welfare or warfare, the big government establishment on both sides of the aisle want to pay for their pet projects.

If you want war with Iran or healthcare for all, and you don't want a 70% income tax rate, some creative accounting needs to be done.

One thing for sure, Romney is certainly not explaining what he is going to do. He only talks about Obama. It would be nice if a possible future president would state his views and people would vote for him because of his views and not because they hate Obama. I would be very skeptical of a guy who has no answers for our pressing problems.

Romney has spoken about lowering taxes, lessening regs. He is about letting business thrive in the private sector. That, alone, will create new jobs.

I'm not sure why you think he doesn't talk about his plans.

I am not skeptical. I think it will be a slow recovery.

You always more than welcome to offer rebuttals of substance, as opposed to sarcasm that doesn't address the issue.

Well said.

Also People keep blaming the Republicans for hindering Obama's success, no one will look at the fact that maybe there are some sticking points to his "plans" that some in Congress just don't think are right.

I hope and pray he doesn't win again, anything would be better than his policies.

He has not said how he will accomplish any of that. I could go out and say I was going to save the economy, create jobs, lower taxes.

At this point, I think he's the lesser of two evils, we know how Obama wants to create jobs, throw more government money at it, while not really accomplishing anything.

BTW have you looked at his website where he has information on issues and what he plans on doing. We all know that really until they get into office they can't formulate a detailed plan. But he does give ideas. Have you read them?

You can bet he will have a budget, unlike this administration.
