Ballet/Dance Studio and Violin Lessons

We just recently moved here and I am looking for recommendations on a Dance Studio for my 5 year old. We don't want her at a place that is all about competitions. She just likes ballet & tap. She's not one that likes to perform competitively or recitals. I'm assuming most do a year-end recital, but we would prefer nothing more than that.

Also, she has been interested in learning the violin. She loves going to watch the Houston Symphony. Does anyone know of someone or a place to recommend for intro lessons in The Woodlands?

lillypad579 mentioned Boni's Dance Studio. Just some info...this dance studio has been in The Woodlands at least a quarter of a century. They just had their annual program at the Pavilion this past weekend. You and your daughter could have watched the full range of dance genres and choreography, and it was wonderful! This was their annual event. She does have a couple of ensembles that perform at events, but I'm not sure if they're competition teams. I think to be a member of the ensembles is by choice, and not a requirement. I don't know her personally, but it seems everyone I know who has a child in dance, goes to this studio. She was recognized as one of The Woodlands 'Hometown Heroes.'

For dance our daughter went to Extreme Performing Arts on 1488. They were great & we were really happy. Were very easy going & made sure the kids had fun.
