At the zoo!

We have family & friends visiting from Iowa this week. We did San Antonio over the weekend and we are at the zoo today. Tomorrow we will take them to Galveston! Our posts today will be limited!

It was beautiful! The downfall was the swarms of elementary school kids on field trips!

Ihave heard the zoo has been expanded. I have not been there for many years. Do they have an elephant? One of the grandkids wants to see an elephant.

We went there a couple of months ago (around Christmas time) and they had several elephants. They were so cute. There were about 2 or 3 adult elephants and 2 or 3 baby/teenagers. The babies were so cute following their mommy around.

They also added the African Forest last year. It's where the chimpanzees, giraffes and rinos are.

Yeah, there were a lot of giraffes when we were there. Lots of little baby giraffes, too.

We love feeding the giraffes lettuce and yes there are 2 baby elephants, 1 teenager elephant and 3 moms! Today the babies were laying down and taking a nap, it was really cute!
