Where is the best place to buy gas? Do I really get better quality gas if I buy from She'll, Exxon, etc? Thoughts?

We usually buy at Valero due to lower price per gallon rates. Don't know if quality is different but no problems, knocking, etc, have surfaced.

I personally do not see any difference in where I buy my gas, as long as the station is clean and in a decent area.

Thanks for the site. I have heard people say that there are differences in quality and I wasn't sure if I should believe them or not.

@Frankie
I have bought gas there as well. Sometimes I try Costco or Kroger.

I have used gas buddy as well. That just gave me the price. I remember seeing protesters outside Kroger saying that they put water in their oil.

When my wife was living we would get a dollar a gallon off every month at Kroger. She was a big time shopper and cooked several meals at home, the more you spent the more you earned off at the Kroger pumps. Never noticed a difference in performance of my cars.

Certain gas stations qualify for the category "Top Tier" gas. It is indicated on Gas Buddy app as well. Here is background:

Costco seems to have the best price, but I am not often in the area. I use Kroger points as well. Lately, they seem to have elevated prices. Unless you have at least 20 cents off a gallon, it's just as cheap at other places.

The Kroger in magnolia seems to be cheaper than their new one in Alden bridge.

Honestly, I have use Kroger off Rayford, and Walmart right off Sawdust for my jeep. They have great prices, and I have never had any issues.

@texbuck It's always nice to have a sense of humor, especially with gas prices rising!
