Another mass shooting today at that Oregon College. What is wrong with our society?

Liberal out of control guidance on morality and the state of affairs. I just heard that the gunner asked each victim if he or she was a Christian. If they answered positively, they were shot. Where does that come from? I'll leave it to you. Obama asserted in all his wisdom that it indicates a need for more gun control. What a dumb ***.

I fear you're losing your mind - better lock away the guns...

Simply, look in the mirror. As humans we are capable of soaring acts of empathy and compassion, as well as the most vile and heinous actions. Is on each of us to identify our propensities and act for the good of all concern.

More guns = more deaths. The gun killing epidemic is real an worst than the fear of terrorism.

I think it still shocks us! I always wonder how a person gets to a place mentally where they think this type of act is the right thing to do.

The killer evidently hated Christians. Maybe that is the underlying cause of all of the killings.........too much hate for something or some people.
Hate + readily accessible combat guns = More Killings.

Guns are not the problem, people are.

People wishing to kill others will use whatever method available.
True, but we are exceptional when it comes to mass killings with deadly assault weapons. Undeniably, no background checks + more weapons = more killings. England, Australia, Japan, Germany, Spain and every other country has his share of crazies and haters, but not easy access to killer guns.

and you think we can stop the sale of guns on the black market.
We can at least make an attempt. Inaction is a poor excuse to allow the repetitive mass killings with combat style weapons.

Well, we haven't stopped drugs and we are not going to stop weapons either. People who want to harm others can find an assault rifle, just like druggies can find the drugs they want.

Illegal drugs and illegal weapons are big business for criminals.
And for the NRA, gun manufactures, gun dealers and mortuaries. In every time the US lost a war it would've thrown in the towel, thousands of GI's would be alive and well. Should we not keep trying the "war" against cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure? Just surrender?
