Why can't people obey road signs...another young man Carlos Justiniano died on Grogans Mill on his motorbike when someone failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign....everyday I see people running a red light ...the Woodlands has to be the worst town I have lived in for this behavior .....my deepest sympathy to the family I do know what you are going though !!!!

This is sad. Motorbikes are dangerous. I have a small private airplaneI take a risk every time I fly it. That said, and not discounting the tragedy of this man's death, I would never take up motorcycle riding as a hobby. It is just too dangerous, esp in busy traffic areas, like ours.

It also comes with the risk of even riding a bike, you all realize that right? He knew damn well that he was getting on a motorized vehicle that has literally no external protection for the human body. He knew the risks involved in riding a motorcycle and he willingly chose to ride one and risk it. I'm not saying its all his fault but I believe he could have taken other modes of transportation....

Yes motorbikes are dangerous, but so is a regular bicycle which so many people in The Woodlands often ride (including myself). This was a tragedy and hopefully drivers will become more aware of two-wheel vehicles and we all have the right to be on the road. Prayers with this young man's family and I hope this accident brings much awareness to The Woodlands community about safety. As our roads are becoming more and more congested and people's frustrations seem to be increasing due to the heavy traffic, traffic laws must be obeyed, cell phones put down, and an intense awareness about runners, cyclists, motorcyclists that are sharing our roads must be observed.

That makes 2 talented doctors we have lost this past year in a bicycle and motorcycle accident. One of which was a former neighbor. I don't like to be on the road with motorcycles, I move away when I can. A family friend from the UK that worked in Houston for a time bought a motorcycle while here and he commented that he always rode "big" so that he was obvious to drivers. Big meaning safely moving around in his lanes so that his movement caught attention.

Condolence to the family. A tragedy.

The Conroe newspaper said the wreck was due to the motorcycle's failure to yield ROW - is that true?

I was a friend of Carlos from Med school, and I appreciate your condolences and prayer in this difficult time for his family and friends. It's very sad that because of not obeying a stop sign a precious human being have lost his life. I hope this tragedy bring some changes in your community and his death will not be in vain.

This is a tragedy as is the accident involving 5 A&M students last night. There are always what ifs but what a waste of time and emotions. I pray for the victims and their families. Please show compassion to these families. We never know when it could be our own.

I have watched bicycle riders not obey the rules of the road. I have nearly hit them because they run red lights, or they pull up in between cars and put themselves in a dangerous position.

I read two articles that said this particular accident was because the motorcycle rider did not yield ROW. Sometimes the motorcycles are also moving much faster than the speed limit and they are hard to see. I nearly pulled out in front of one the other day because he was moving so fast, one minute he wasn't there and the next he was, yes he was speeding and yes he had the right of way. But had he been going normal speeds he wouldn't have appeared out of nowhere.

I have also watched bicyclists and motorcycle riders weave in and out of traffic.

We blame the motorcyclist for accidents. Yesterday, there were 3 killed in a car accident. Everyday, there are automobile accidents as people are not careful with speed and cutting in and out of traffic. I just came back from Kansas over the holidays. On Saturday, the traffic was awful.....this is without the usual truck traffic. It is amazing how people drive. If I leave enough room in front of me to distance from the cars, there are those who jump into that space. I had people tailgating me when I was going 6 miles over the speed limit ( it is set on my speedometer). People would jump in front of me who were going slower than I. I felt I had to drive very alertly and not relax a minute with just my cruise control. Now, add motorcycles (which there were none that I saw) into that mess and it would be extremely dangerous for them. Everyone seems to be in such a hurry to get just a few miles up the road. It is amazing how badly some people drive. I would not even try to get on a motorcycle in today's traffic. I fear an accident in metal surrounding me, let alone, out in the space on a small seat.

That's why I always leave early when I have to be somewhere. People are either in a hurry or playing around with their cellphones and going very slow. I watch bikes and motorcycles act dangerously. I get really irritated when I hear bicycle riders complain because I see so many that do not follow rules of the road but yet they want to share the road.

I am just so fed up of idiots, today I saw a truck run a red light and did it slow(maybe on the phone/texting??) it was the same exact spot my son was killed on his motorbike.. The Woodlands has the most careless drivers worse than Los Angeles. At least Los Angeles has stricter laws....please be careful don't put anyone through the pain of unnecessary loss...all have a safe Christmas!
