Border Collies typically have shorter noses and shorter hair than Collies. They are really intelligent and active so they prefer to have something to do. You'll typically see the Border Collies at dog shows doing obstacle courses and catching frisbees. Ironically, since I found what appears to be border collies, I actually have a border collie myself that I adopted from the spca 10 years ago. She learned commands real quickly and can run and catch a frisbee unlike any other dog I have had. The coordination and ability to jump high to catch a frisbee or tennis ball is amazing.
