A third party option always sounds good. There are lots of disgruntled, angry voters out there. There will never be a candidate that appeals to all the voters.

The idea is to not get so angry that we abandon our core values for some candidate that says they will right some perceived shortcoming of a particular candidate.

A third party will never will gain a place in our current system. It only pulls votes away from one candidate and assuring a victory for the other. If their ideas were so good, why haven't most of us heard of them?

Our political system while flawed, is better than most. A third party candidate that has NO chance of winning is not an answer to the complicated problems we face as a country.

Most of the people on your website are Repbulicans or former Republicans, except for Bernie Sanders. Do you think any of them will run this year? I don't think Bernie Sanders will run.

PBMom, I understand what you are saying.

I do think it is important to read other points of view on issues.

I think most of the posters on here do a great job of not taking things personally, but I understand your point. We do try to argue the point and not attack the poster.

I will vote for a major party. I do not see a third party vote or a write in vote to be anything more than a wasted vote. I do think a lot of voters will join you in a third party vote this year. A lot of folks are disgusted with the whole process.

I just think this issue, along with the dog issue, is just nitpicky BS that both sides engage in because neither has a great plan to help fix the problems our country face, so they send out this stuff for us to occupy our time being offended about. If we argue about these idiotic points, we just make the 24/7 news media (all of them) continue to think it is stuff like this that is important to us. You can't say anything anymore these days without someone else taking it personally. Both sides engage in big government (depends on what their platform is), and both engage in governmental intrusion. Both sides are becoming insanely polarized to the point of gridlock. We need more moderates from both sides. Just because you compromise does mean you've betrayed your base. That is what compromise is-- to get a win-win. You can't get everything you want, but that is what life is truly about. I, in particular, am seeking a third party option through http://www.americanselect.org
