It is not Florida, but, it is wonderful. To live in Houston area where there is Galveston, Kemah, supurb theater district, lots of children's museums and activities, huge medical complex, gorgeous downtown with many free activities, and much more, how can you not love this place. I have been to Florida and California. No, the Gulf is not the ocean, but, it is wonderful!!!! It is very different, but, equally as interesting, far more accessable and less expensive. To have a full fledged Mardi Gras, Dickens on the Strand, and the blessing of the fleet, what more can you ask for?
