If your life depends upon a buffet of drugs and pills do you think you might just have a bit of a problem?
you call 1/2 of an ambien a problem? haven't even had any of them in over a month. Melatonin works just fine for me - just ran out and didn't have any money to buy more until today.
My only problem is sleeping.... haven't been a good sleeper since I had my first baby. I can hear my cat walk across the carpet for goodness sakes. My husband snores like he's moving furniture. I can hear the clock tick, the refrigerator cycle in and out, the airconditioner come on and off and my kids roll over in their beds.
Only medication I take currently is for blood pressure....and that's a family heredity thing.
Oh and by the way...if I was sleeping soundly right now ... then I'd really have a problem. Daughter ran away two weeks ago....took her out of state for residential therapy a week ago today... finances are in the toilet.... I think that it's actually pretty normal that I'm not sleeping so well right now.
Just happened to be out of melatonin last night. I usually have a prescription for Ambien and take 1/2 of one each night....but my doctor won't refill my Rx unless I come in for a visit. I'm kind of at the point right now that either I can afford my medicine or I can afford my dr's visit...but not both.
Didn't have anything alcoholic in the house, no ambien, no melatonin. I finally found an old bottle of an OTC sleep aid. Still took three hours to get to sleep though.
Go to a store and grab some and maybe some sleepytime tea with honey, then run yourself a warm bath to relax and put on some soothing music. You should be resting in no time. NO TV's in the bedroom.

OTC sleep aids are are antihistamines. Can't do them...they last in my system for days and I can't wake up! So I have taught myself to sleep. Now I can sleep anywhere, anytime, even standing up! I boarder on narcolepsy.
