WHAT DO WOODLANDS LIONS DO?
 
The Woodlands Noon Lions Club supports a number of Lions Club programs. Here are just a few:
Texas Lions Camp For Children is a camp for physically handicapped and insulin dependent diabetic children in Kerrville. Children attend this camp at no cost to them or their parents. The Texas Lions Camp has served over 43,000 children since 1953, giving each of them a very special learning and growing experience in a beautiful hill country setting.
 
Sight Conservation program assists local Lions Clubs in providing eyeglasses for needy children and other sight conservation efforts. It also handles the collection and distribution of used eyeglasses.
 
The Lighthouse of Houston provides vocational training and a sheltered workshop for visually impaired people. Lions fund and host an annual Christmas shopping trip and luncheon for Lighthouse clients. Lions Clubs also support various other Lighthouse programs such as their annual career days program for visually impaired high school seniors.
