The The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and Convention Center, located at 1601 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands 77380 is currently hiring a Supervisor, Front Desk.
We seek a dynamic, go getter who has a passion for customer service to oversee our Front Desk Operations Staff. Duties include answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns. Contact appropriate individual or department to resolve guest call, request, or problem. Follow up and ensure that any outstanding requests are resolved. Advise guest of any messages received. Verify and adjust billing. Operate telephone switchboard station. Monitor busy or unanswered lines, check back with callers on hold to update status, take messages. Activate and deactivate guest room message lights Transfer guests with internet access issues to internet service provider's customer support line. Assist callers with credit card, calling card, long distance, collect, overseas, and person to person calls. Log guest requests, incidents, adjustments and comment cards into computer to allow for proper tracking and documentation. Supply guests with directions and property information. Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a department role model.
The successful candidate will have previous supervisory skills preferably in the Front of the House. This is a great opportunity for an excellent career path. The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and Convention Center is Excellent in Service Scores and ranks 15 out of 333 in our brand!
Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak using clear and professional language; prepare/review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality standards. Enter and locate information using computers/ POS systems. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

The Senior Network
Description of Ambassador Assignment
There are three parts of the Ambassador assignment: 1. Distribute materials, announcing a free physician led educational seminar to key local senior (55+) organizations 2. Assist the facility that is holding the seminar, with set up and execution of the seminar and 3.return completed seminar documentation to TSN.
1. Promoting the Seminar
As a TSN ambassador, you will identify key senior centers and senior groups within a 15-20 minute drive from the seminar host facility. Contact the appropriate person at each site and obtain their permission to post the announcement materials and inquire if there are other ways to get the word out at the center, e.g. announcements at meals or other activities, signup sheets or hand outs. Let them know that for groups of 3 or more, we can provide transportation as needed. The purpose of the seminar is to provide information to those afflicted with shingles related pain so that when they speak with their doctors, they will be able to decide the best treatment for their shingles pain.
The seminar is designed for those that have or had shingles or post shingles nerve pain and caregivers. (i.e. qualified attendees). You will distribute announcement materials in the local community (within a 15-20 minute drive from host facility, where the seminar is held) to appropriate locations where you are most likely to reach the maximum number of individuals that can benefit from the seminar.
By announcing the event in the surrounding community, your goal is to attract approximately 20 qualified attendees to the seminar. The facility hosting the seminar will be signing up another 20.”qualified” attendees.
2. Seminar Set up and Execution
This primarily entails setting up the audio visual equipment, passing out seminar work books, greeting attendees, manning the registration desk, checking to see that all of the host responsibilities are completed and helping the host as needed.
