Event Information:
GLOBAL MARKET FAIR TRADE SALE What if you could indulge your love of shopping and simultaneously help a community half a world away? On Saturday, November 17 from 10 am until 5 pm, and Sunday, November 18 from 9 am until 1 pm, area residents will have the opportunity to do some holiday shopping while also feeling good about helping farmers, artists, crafters and workers from disadvantaged and developing countries. The purchase of certified Fair Trade items like jewelry, coffee, chocolate, household items and textiles helps eliminate exploitation and dependence on foreign aid while providing a positive impact on communities. The middle man is eliminated, ensuring more profit reaches the local artisans to build sustainable businesses. Fair Trade U.S.A., a 501 © (3) non-profit, certifies the products to make it possible to shop with a conscience while improving lives. Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 3801 S. Panther Creek Drive in The Woodlands, is the site of the Global Market Fair Trade Sale and a wonderful variety of items can be purchased with cash, check or credit card. For directions or additional information, please call (281) 367-7016.
